About Us

Women in Data Science (WiDS) empowers women to reach their full potential in the field of data science. WiDS was launched at Stanford University in 2015 with a one-day technical conference featuring outstanding women doing outstanding work in the field.

WiDS Irvine is independently organized by Yuanyuan Ding to be part of the mission to increase participation of women in data science and to feature outstanding women doing outstanding work.

Our Youth Event will be held on Saturday April 6, 2024 at 17932 Sky Park Cir. Ste E, Irvine, CA 92614 from 10:00am to 1:00pm.

We will invite prominent female data scientists to give a talk about their experiences in the field and we will hold a small data science workshop to teach students some basic knowledge and skills for data science.

Our event will be free and opened to public. However, if you would like to come and attend our event as a guest, please fill out the following form to RSVP so we can prepare lunch and other supplies for you ahead of time.

As a non-profit organization, we would appreciate organizations or individuals that can kindly support our event with various forms of sponsorship, including but not limited to foods supplies, direct money donations, etc.
